To develop and manage the SearchFlow product development roadmap, identifying and evaluating key supplier-driven opportunities, as well as developing and implementing SearchFlow originated product developments and enhancements. To ensure that SearchFlow is ‘first to market’ with commercially attractive new product innovations or enhancements to existing products. To manage the effective roll out of new product development that generates new business, by using market-led analysis, insight and commercial experience to support idea generation and to generate innovative customer products.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:             

To support Marketing Director in definition and presentation of NPD strategy

To research, evaluate and filter NPD ideas before presentation to senior management

To create high level business concepts detailing quantitative and qualitative research to support NPD requests

To develop analytical tools to filter and prioritise NPD ideas

To create detailed market reviews and business cases for Board level review of NPD initiatives

To work closely with Strategic Supplier Manager, Marketing, IT, Operations and Sales teams to identify market opportunities and to test, enhance and implement NPD and be first to market

To support the analysis of the website user experience to ensure that it is developed to support the business vision of ‘making lawyers’ lives easier’

To ensure the smooth roll out of NPD across customer facing and internal operational systems

To review NPD plans of key strategic suppliers and group companies to ensure that development is coordinated and timings aligned

To update senior management on competitor, customer or market intelligence of NPD or product launch activity and manage all external communication

To support the prioritisation of bugs and enhancements to the SearchFlow website and work closely with PMO team to ensure effective deployment

To conduct post-launch financial performance and usage assessments of newly implemented initiatives.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

 

A relevant business degree and a minimum of 5 years of NPD expertise, generating creative and innovative digital propositions

Excellent, detailed knowledge of NPD processes and procedures from development to testing to internal roll out and launch

Strong technical skills as well as ability to present complex concepts into clear business cases in order to influence and gain solid commitment

Proven track record in delivery of commercial targets from NPD and within budget

The ability to offer insight into customer needs and competitor trends, and translate these into practical propositions and solutions

Strong work ethic with ability to work from initiative as well as implementing pre-defined strategies with a high tolerance to deadline delivery pressure
