PR & External Affairs Manager

Folkestone, Kent£35,000 to £40,000 based on experience

We are a dynamic but low profile UK based charity looking for a PR & External Affairs expert to make us high profile. We have an ambitious target to increase our awareness 100% by 2017. Are you up for the challenge?

You must have a track record of success to show how you would significantly raise awareness of MAF UK amongst key audiences in the UK, building, maintaining and managing MAF UK’s reputation, utilizing all forms of media and communication and enabling widespread and effective publicity.

You must have the presence and confidence to represent MAF and interact professionally and comfortably with media and others of influence, creating a network of contacts and opinion formers and managing productive and dynamic relationships with them.

The job holder of this key role will be responsible for developing an on-going PR & media strategy in line with MAF UK’s overall strategic plan.

Applicants will need to be educated to degree or equivalent level, and ideally hold PR, media or communications training or qualification. They will need to demonstrate experience of working within a PR, media or communications environment within a PR role, along with a proven track record of networking and developing positive and productive relationships.

There is an occupational requirement for the job holder of this position to be a committed Christian, able to agree with and promote the Christian ethos and beliefs of MAF. Additional information on this occupational requirement is available.
