Developing the category management relationship with key grocery customers is the challenge of this exciting interim role with a leading FMCG business - leading and developing a tailored customer engagement & category development programme.  With a remit spanning all the company’s brands, you will build close relationships with key customer contacts, ensuring that the business is seen as a key category influencer around range and merchandising initiatives, and that its brands achieve a significant profile on shelf.  Working closely with marketing and commercial teams, you will use the company’s category visions to develop and own account specific plans and tactics – selling these into customers, monitoring performance and consistently looking for issues that need remedial action and opportunities that drive growth.

Our Ideal Candidate

With robust experience ideally gained in an FMCG category management role, these are opportunities to challenge the best within a dynamic and positive environment.  You will have experience of using retail and shopper data to develop category strategies and will have worked closely with the grocery multiples to implement promotional and ranging strategies and plans - building and credibly telling a category and shopper story and delivering this with impact.  Strong interpersonal skills are key for these roles - building and maintaining relationships within the business and externally with major customers.
