The Marketing Practice seeks an experienced and highly collaborative Business to Business Planner who is passionate about delivering highly effective, quality marketing outcomes for our clients.

The role is within our Marketing, Innovation and Planning team who are responsible for developing campaign strategies and bringing valuable insight to fuel the creative process

Key Deliverables

Strategy:

  • Challenge the client brief to identify critical information gaps and opportunities
  • Play a pivotal role in developing the campaign strategy proposal to the client including the recommended mix of media channels
  • Apply market, audience and channel insight to ensure major programme plans are robust in terms of marketing effectiveness and able to meet objectives

Insight:

  • Brief and manage research projects that have been outsourced to an external research agency
  • Develop discussion guides and undertake telephone interviews with decision-makers within the client’s target market to gain insight
  • Support the creative briefing process through delivering the insight and act as a sounding board through the creative process

Positioning & Messaging:

  • Play a key role in positioning and proposition development: mapping client propositions against market/ industry trends and opportunities. Support the creative team in articulating potential positioning routes and articulating the rationale for campaign ideas that fall out of the positioning recommendations
  • Use market and audience insight to develop messaging platform to support campaign development

Adding value:

  • Troubleshoot existing projects and accounts – bringing consultative expertise to bear to resolve marketing challenges
  • Work collaboratively with our virtual teams (Data, Creative, Digital, Inside Sales) to get to the best possible solution for our clients

Skills & Experience Required

  • At least 3 years of  experience of marketing planning, preferably B2B, either within an agency or client side environment
  • Strong understanding of complex B2B Sales and Marketing, in particular the ICT and Services industries
  • Digital planning experience would be desirable but not essential
  • Strong understanding of the broader marketing discipline – able to work within an integrated environment
  • Experience of articulating and presenting rationales for campaign programmes; experience in running client facing workshops
